What is a Quality Club

CLUB CONSTITUTION

This is our overarching governing document, it sets out how the club runs at a high level, including voting in a committee.

VOLUNTEERS HANDBOOK

Our Volunteers Handbook includes all the information our volunteers need to operate safely within the club, from how to book the minibus, to who holds keys.

COMMITTEE HANDBOOK

The Committee Handbook includes detailed role descriptions and other information pertinent to those on the committee.

This policy tells you how we operate a safe club

PADDLING SAFETY FRAMEWORK

The Paddling Safety Framework sets out how we operate on the water, utilising both generic and dynamic risk assessments carried out by competent people. It is based around the British Canoeing Environmental Definitions.

PADDLING COMPETENCY FRAMEWORK

Our Paddling Competency Framework details how we assess our volunteers as competent people.

RISK ASSESSMENT

 GENERIC - TRIPS

Our Trips Risk Assessment details the generic risks that may occur on a trip - each trip planned by the club also has a specific Journey Planning Sheet which details any specific risks relating to that location. Dynamic risk assessment by a competent person supplements this on the day.

This Risk Assessment covers our city base at LOPC. It was drafted along side risk assessments developed by the centre.
